SMS Resistências Elétricas has over 26 years experience developing and manufacturing heating elements, heating systems and components for the industrial segment.
We are installed in a site with 5,000 m², and 3,000 m² built area, located in the city of Itaquaquecetuba (35 km from the capital), in São Paulo state.
In our highly equipped manufacturing facilities, we manufacture a wide range of heating elements for a wide range of applications. All products comply with the international manufacturing standards (DIN 44874), being 100% tested.
Our technical department designs custom solutions for various markets, always looking for deliver competitive products to the customers and with the best technology applied.

Founded in 1986, SMS Resistências Elétricas started its activities in a small site located in the district of Mooca, in São Paulo. Based on founders background in the industry, SMS has achived an accelerated growth since its begin.
In 1988, SMS moved to a new building, and always with a focus on developing products with high reliability . The company has consistently invested in technological solutions to make the service more responsive for its customers.
In 1994, it started manufacturing PTFE coated heating elements, thus becoming the pioneer company to offer this technology to the segment of surface treatment in Brazil.
In 1997, SMS has been approved as a global supplier of Heavy-Duty Convection Heater for hydro power plants by a consortium of multinationals. A year later it began exporting to Mercosul, focusing on the area of food service, industrial and biomedical processes.
In 2006, it began a new line of heating systems focus on oil and gas and mining industries.
In 2009, in order to more effectively meet its growing demand, SMS started the process of moving to new headquarters, located in Itaquaquecetuba.
